Be rest assured that your satisfaction is our most priority. We treat your laundry as though it is ours! However, we still need to agree to some rules and regulations to ensure there are no misunderstandings whatsoever.
By using our service, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions.
1. Damaged Laundry
1.1 We will do our best to ensure that your clothes are not damaged. Unfortunately, there are limitations to what we can do. Therefore, we can’t be held responsible for things or objects left in your laundry such as nail polish, lipstick, pen, chewing gum or any other items relating to the above.
We will make reasonable effort to find anything left in your laundry that you inform us about; however, we can’t guarantee that they will be found or returned.
1.2 It is not possible for us to inspect every item for damages or its prior conditions upon receiving it.
1.3 All laundry processes, regardless of how gentle cause normal wear and tear on clothing. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for any wear and tear of laundry, including loss of buttons, fatigue, holes, abrasions or fading. Similarly, we reserve the rights to decline servicing any particular piece of laundry if we think it will lead to this. Cleaning and drying also creates other risks. We do not individually examine. Therefore, if something is “dry-clean only”, or otherwise unsuitable for common washing, drying and ironing techniques, please do not include it in laundry you give to us.
1.4 All items given to us are washed together as our standard procedure. If you prefer, notify us ahead of time and we can wash items separately. It is preferred you separate before dropping your clothes off. However, we can also do the separation for you. Along the same lines, we can’t be held responsible for redeposition of colors (bleaching) or dimensional changes (shrinking or stretching).
2.2. Suitability for Laundering
2.1 We do not offer dry cleaning services. By using our services, you agree that your laundry is suitable to be washed in water, on a normal cycle in a washer machine, and dried using the heat in a tumbler dryer. We refuse to be responsible for any damage to clothing that is not suitable for this standard laundering process.
3. Self-service customer
3.1 We take no responsibility for self-service customers’ laundry.
• Please check your pockets for items or objects.
• Remove any bra wires if possible before washing as they come out regularly in the machines
• Many items may not be suitable for washing as they can’t handle the washing process, so doing so is at your own risk.
• If you find a machine that is damaged, notify us immediately and do not use it.
• Follow the directions of any products you use and do not use more than recommended.
• No dyeing of cloth is allowed.
• If you have any insect infestation you may not wash or dry in our stores.
• Follow the order of instructions on our machines.
• Feel free to ask us for directions.
• DO not leave your clothes unattended to.
• The carts are to be shared once your clothes are washing or drying, no reserving carts for your entire stay and they must remain inside the store at all times.
• No sitting on folding tables or placing children on them.
4. Lost Laundry
4.1 We carefully track your clothes as a bundle. However, there is no efficient way of verifying every item in a bundle that we receive. For instance, we tag every bundle with your name, and your clothes are processed in a machine and dryer separately from other customers. And also, your items will be placed in their own laundry cart and folded separately on a folding table by a single customer service attendant.
However, if you believe you are missing something from your bundle, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your clean clothes – we are much likely to find missing items if it is reported early.
5. Pick-up and Delivery
5.1 Jema Laundromat provides pick-up and delivery service within Warri. We will do our best to pickup your laundry at the agreed upon time. However certain things beyond our control can cause delays, like traffic, but be rest assured that you will be notified when such happens, though we can’t be held accountable for unforeseen circumstances. Similarly, we hope that you will thrive to be on time for our pick up and deliveries. If you do miss a pickup or delivery, we will try to coordinate an alternate time as soon as possible.
5.2 For unattended pickup and delivery, if you request that we leave your laundry with someone or in a place/spot. We are not responsible for your laundry, before pickup or after delivery.
6. Allergies
6.1 In the state of allergies, please advise us on which detergent you want us to use. However, we do wash clothes in washing machines where other detergents may have been used, and it is possible that small amount of other detergent, which may not be hypoallergenic, may not completely rinse out of the machines. Though, we offer free and clear detergent for customers with sensitive skin.
7. Minimum Weight/Fee
7.1 You can send us any amount of laundry you choose, but any loads weighing less than 25kg will be rounded up to our minimum weigh of 25kg.
8. Unclaimed Laundry
8.1 We are not responsible for any unclaimed laundry left over 10days.
9. Refund Policy
9.1 Before you commit to use any of our services, we weigh your clothes to tell you what the cost will be ahead of time. If you agree to use our services at that point, then we expect payment before washing your clothes. We truly hope you are satisfied with our services, once we have laundered your clothes, we cannot offer a refund.
10. Miscellaneous
10.1 We may want to modify some of terms and conditions in this agreement as our business changes. Therefore, we encourage you to check back frequently to familiarize yourself with any changes.
